Our journey began back in May 2010 when I rented my first apartment in Hillside, NJ which was infested by rats and roaches. I found myself fighting rats with very little pest control experience, placing traps in various locations and keeping them out by learning how they got in the house to begin with. It was a tough battle and it took a few months to resolve the problem.
After that experience, I definitely became intrigued with the pest control industry. A couple years later I got the opportunity to work for a major pest control company. I took the opportunity and truly fell in love with the industry.
After a few years of working for that company it was clear to me that I had to start my own business. I love what I do and I wanted the opportunity to help people and also create relationships with my clients.
Once I knew what my mission was, I got all the necessary licenses and credentials to start my business. I left that company in 2017 and quickly started Universal Pest Control.
